Government on the Hook for Cost-Sharing Reduction Subsidies, Federal Circuit Rules

The federal government must pay insurers that offered qualified health plans on the Affordable Care Act marketplaces cost-sharing reduction (CSR) subsidies even if Congress didn’t appropriate specific funding for those payments, the Federal Circuit held in a pair of rulings issued August 14.
