Third Circuit Allows Hospitals to Pursue Certain ERISA Claims Against Cigna

The Third Circuit revived July 16 the bulk of three hospitals’ breach-of-contract claims under the Employee Retirement Income Security Act of 1974 (ERISA) that Cigna Health and Life Insurance Company violated the terms of its insurance plans by underpaying them for out-of-network services.
