U.S. Court in Michigan Says Seizure of Patient Medical Records Doesn’t Violate Fourth Amendment or Part 2 Regulations

The U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Michigan refused March 16 to suppress patient medical records obtained during a criminal search and seizure of the office of defendant Dr. Lesly Pompy. According to the court, the seizure of the records didn’t violate the Fourth Amendment or 42 C.F.R. Part 2.
