West Virginia Clinic Reaches $5,000 HIPAA Right of Access Settlement

The Department of Health and Human Services Office for Civil Rights (OCR) announced June 2 that the Diabetes, Endocrinology & Lipidology Center, Inc. (DELC) will pay $5,000 to resolve potential violations of the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) Privacy Rule’s right of access standard.
