Trustees Project Medicare Hospital Insurance Trust Fund Insolvency by 2033

Medicare's hospital insurance (HI) trust fund will be able to pay full benefits until the second quarter of 2033, one quarter earlier than projected last year, according to the 2026 Annual Report of the Boards of Trustees of the Federal Hospital Insurance and Federal Supplemental Medical Insurance Trust Funds issued this week.
