CMS Issues Guidance for States on Addressing Social Determinants of Health

The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) issued January 7 guidance on how states can use existing flexibilities under federal law to address social determinants of health in their Medicaid and Children’s Health Insurance Programs to improve health outcomes, reduce health disparities, and lower costs.
