Supreme Court Holds Colorado Law Prohibiting “Conversion Therapy” for Minors Violates First Amendment

The U.S. Supreme Court in an 8-1 opinion found March 31 that a Colorado law that prohibits “conversion therapy” regulates speech based on viewpoint, and the lower courts erred in upholding the law by failing to apply sufficiently rigorous First Amendment scrutiny.
