U.S. Court in Rhode Island Allows ERISA Action over Wilderness Therapy Coverage Denial

An action alleging Blue Cross & Blue Shield of Rhode Island wrongfully denied coverage of a minor’s behavioral health treatment as excluded wilderness therapy can move forward after a federal court refused to dismiss the Employee Retirement Income Security Act (ERISA) action.
