Medicare Advantage Organization Executive Acquitted of Medicare Fraud Charges

A federal jury acquitted Kenia Valle Boza, formerly the Director of Medicare Risk Adjustment Analytics at HealthSun Health Plans Inc., on allegations that she orchestrated a scheme to submit inaccurate diagnosis codes to the federal government that made patients appear sicker than they were to boost the organization’s Medicare reimbursement.
