Ascension St. Vincent’s Clay County Hospital does not have to face allegations that it violated the Emergency Medical Treatment and Labor Act (EMTALA) by discharging her shortly after discovering she lacked medical insurance, a panel of the Eleventh Circuit held May 6 in a per curiam opinion.
