Arizona-based National Breathe Free Sinus & Allergy Centers LLC (NBF), which provides ear, nose, and throat health care in 30 clinics across the country, must face a whistleblower action alleging it engaged in a nationwide scheme with its affiliates to defraud federal health care programs for medically unnecessary balloon sinuplasty procedures, a federal district court in Arizona held June 4.
