Seventh Circuit Vacates Dismissal of Biometric Privacy Suit Against Eyewear Retailer over Facial Scans

The Seventh Circuit revived July 10 a lawsuit alleging that Gunnar Optiks, LLC violated the Illinois Biometric Information Privacy Act (BIPA), holding the eyewear retailer failed to show facial-scan data fell within the statute’s health care exclusion.
