Democratic-Led States Reject ACIP Reversal on Universal Hepatitis B Vaccine Birth Dose

The Advisory Committee on Immunization Practice’s (ACIP’s) decision last week to roll back a decades-long recommendation to inoculate all newborns within 24 hours of birth with the first dose of the hepatitis B vaccine has drawn push back from Democratic-led states who have pledged to continue to follow recommendations for a universal birth dose.
