The Federal Trade Commission (FTC) and four states—Alaska, Iowa, Nebraska, and Texas—are suing the World Professional Association of Transgender Health (WPATH) alleging its recommendations included misleading and unsubstantiated claims that were not backed by medical evidence to maximize the likelihood that insurers would cover pediatric transition services.
