Biden Requests Substantial Funding Increase for HHS in FY 2022 Budget

President Bident released May 28 a $6 trillion budget request for fiscal year (FY) 2022. The budget proposal—the first of the new administration—requests a sizeable funding increase for the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) aimed at improving the nation’s preparedness for public health crises, advancing health equity, and expanding access to behavioral health care, among other priorities.
