U.S. Court in Massachusetts Refuses to Dismiss Mental Health Parity Claim Against Insurer

Blue Cross Blue Shield of Massachusetts and related entities must face a putative class action alleging they improperly denied coverage of inpatient mental health treatment in violation of the Paul Wellstone and Pete Domenici Mental Health Parity and Addition Equity Act (Parity Act), a federal court in Massachusetts ruled March 30.
