CMS Proposes Ramping up Oversight of Medicaid Drug Prices

The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) is looking to step up oversight of Medicaid drug prices with a notice of proposed rulemaking unveiled May 23 that would make changes to the drug rebate program, improve price transparency, and call for targeted price verification surveys of certain high-cost drugs.
