CMS Moving to Next Phase of Prior Authorization Streamlining Effort

The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) is adding electronic prior authorization to its Health Tech Ecosystem initiative as part of its overall push to “axe the fax, kill the clipboard, and put patients over paperwork,” CMS Administrator Dr. Mehmet Oz wrote in a May 5 blog post.
