U.S. Court in Florida Tosses Whistleblower Action Against Hospital Chain Alleging False Claims for EHR Incentive Payments

A federal district court in Florida dismissed with prejudice a whistleblower action alleging Community Health Systems, individual named hospitals, and electronic health record (EHR) vendor Medhost, Inc. caused the submission of “hundreds of millions of dollars” in false claims for incentive payments under the meaningful use program.
