HHS Finalizes Changes to Part 2 Rules for Substance Use Disorder Records

The Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) finalized February 8 long-awaited revisions to privacy rules for substance use disorder (SUD) records to better align the so-called Part 2 regulations with the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA).
