Supreme Court Lets Stand Dismissal of Whistleblower Action over Emergency Care Billing

The Supreme Court won’t revive a qui tam action against Tenet Healthcare Corporation and Detroit Medical Center (DMC) alleging their hospital subsidiaries fraudulently billed for inpatient services while patients were “boarded” in the emergency room (ER) to obtain higher reimbursement.
