CVS Caremark to Pay $95 Million in Whistleblower Action over Inflated Medicare Drug Payments

Pharmacy Benefit Manager (PBM) CVS Caremark is liable for $95 million in damages to the federal government under the False Claims Act for inflating the prices of Part D drugs, which caused Medicare to over-subsidize drug costs, the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania held June 25.
