CMS Launches New Verification Process for Ensuring Citizenship of Medicaid Enrollees

The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) is launching a new oversight initiative to help ensure Medicaid and Children’s Health Insurance Program (CHIP) enrollees are U.S. citizens, U.S. nationals, or have a satisfactory immigration status for those programs, the agency said August 19.
