U.S. Court in California Orders United Behavioral Health to Reprocess Denied Mental Health Claims

A federal court in California ordered November 3 United Behavioral Health (UBH), a subsidiary of UnitedHealth Group, to reprocess roughly 67,000 insureds’ mental health benefit claims denied from 2011 to 2017 using treatment guidelines that were more restrictive than generally accepted standards of care.
