MFCU Recoveries Top $1 Billion in FY 2020, OIG Reports

Medicaid Fraud Control Units (MFCUs) reported $1 billion in criminal and civil recoveries in fiscal year 2020, with 786 civil settlements and judgments and 1,017 total convictions, the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) Office of Inspector General (OIG) said March 19.
