FQHC May Offer Gift Card Incentives for Attending Care Appointments, OIG Says

A federally qualified health center’s (FQHC’s) proposal to offer gift cards to certain pediatric patients as an incentive to attend rescheduled preventive and early intervention care appointments would not result in administrative sanctions, the Department of Health and Human Services Office of Inspector General (OIG) said in an advisory opinion posted December 30, 2020.
