CMS Proposes Limited Medicare Coverage of Alzheimer’s Treatment

Medicare would cover a controversial treatment for Alzheimer’s disease only for patients who are enrolled in randomized controlled clinical trials under a proposed National Coverage Determination (NCD) issued by the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) on January 11.
