White House Budget Request Trims Nearly $16 Billion in HHS Funding

The White House released April 3 the administration’s budget request for fiscal year 2027, which includes $111.1 billion in discretionary funding for the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS), roughly 12.5%, or $15.8 billion, below the 2026 enacted level.
