CMS Launches New Office to Oversee $50 Billion in Rural Health Awards to States

The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) announced December 29, 2025 awards to all 50 states averaging $200 million in 2026 for rural health care improvements under a program funded through last year’s tax and spending legislation.
