American Health Law Association Announces Recipients of the Michael F. Anthony Health Law Scholarship

AHLA is pleased to announce the recipients of the 2025 Michael F. Anthony Health Law Scholarship. Jahnavi Arun from the University of Houston Law Center and Kyle Sadosky from SMU Dedman School of Law have been selected as this year's scholarship winners.
The Michael F. Anthony Health Law Scholarship, named in honor of a distinguished figure in health law and a pivotal force in AHLA, supports promising law students committed to careers in health law. Recipients receive registration to AHLA's Fundamentals of Health Law conference and a stipend to offset attendance costs.

"Their academic excellence, dedication to health law, and commitment to serving the healthcare community exemplify the spirit of this scholarship. We look forward to seeing their contributions to the field of health law in the years to come."
Jahnavi Arun, a second-year law student at the University of Houston Law Center, has demonstrated exceptional commitment to health law through her leadership roles in the Health Law Organization and her work as a 1L Polsinelli-CommonSpirit Health Care Fellow. She has focused her studies on regulatory compliance, data privacy, and health policy advocacy, while organizing impactful events including a Health Law Alumni Reception and a Medical Mixer connecting UHLC with five medical schools in the Houston/Galveston area.
Kyle Sadosky, a third-year law student at SMU Dedman School of Law, has excelled academically while focusing on fraud and abuse compliance in health law. His achievements include earning the highest grade in his Health Law course, serving as Editor-in-Chief of the Journal of Air Law and Commerce, and being selected as AHLA's Fall 2025 Extern. He is currently completing a directed research project examining nonprofit executive compensation under IRS regulations, the Stark Law, and the Anti-Kickback Statute.
Both recipients have demonstrated exceptional academic achievement and a deep commitment to advancing health law through their professional experiences, leadership roles, and dedication to making healthcare more accessible and equitable.
The scholarship winners will be honored at the upcoming Fundamentals of Health Law conference, where they will have the opportunity to learn from industry experts and network with leaders in the field of health law.
