On January 9, 2026, Judge Rudolph Contreras of the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia granted the Federal Trade Commission’s (FTC’s) request for a preliminary injunction to prevent Edwards Lifesciences Corporation (Edwards) from acquiring JenaValve Technology, Inc. (JenaValve). The parties then abandoned the transaction.
