The public and regulatory demand for accountability and transparency has forced expanded reporting obligations for applicable manufacturers through the Sunshine Act. Recent changes to the Sunshine Act have expanded the population that applicable manufacturers are required to include in their reporting. This article discusses these recent changes and the impact they might have on teaching hospitals and academic medical centers.
