About the Conference
The AHLA Fraud and Compliance Forum is designed to serve as both a crash-course for advisors just entering the health care industry and a deep dive for experienced advocates seeking new strategies. This conference features sessions led by fraud and compliance specialists who work with a wide variety of health care providers, as well as presenters from federal health care fraud regulatory and enforcement agencies. Two and a half days of thoughtfully developed presentations will cover the full spectrum of fraud and compliance challenges facing health care advisors today:
- Introductions to critical areas of concern, such as coding, false claims, physician self-referral law, the Anti-Kickback Statute, and criminal enforcement
- Compliance strategies relating to operational activities such as employee screenings, coverage determinations, use of health care information, and more
- Analysis of risks and strategies in evolving areas such as Medicare Advantage, private equity, value-based arrangements, joint ventures, and more
- Updates on enforcement trends—and defenses—for both established and emerging risk areas
- Sessions incorporating the latest legislation, regulation, case law, and agency activity as they apply to a broad range of health care activities
