The American Health Law Association Announces New Membership Model

  • April, 22, 2020

The American Health Law Association announces its new membership model as part of its overall rebranding initiative announced last month that recognizes the shift in the health law industry with a wide variety of professionals, backgrounds, and experiences, all working together to lead health law to excellence.

The Association looks to support its expanding and diverse membership base with a membership model that offers a more personalized membership experience, allowing members to choose a membership level that fits their education needs and professional goals:

  • Premium Membership Level - includes all the benefits of the Full and Enhanced membership levels PLUS access to the Health Law Archive, an educational pass that grants free access to all webinars and educational calls, deep discounts when registering for in-person programs, and access to all the Practice Groups.

  • Enhanced Membership Level - includes all the benefits of the Full membership level plus an additional Practice Group (two total), one free webinar with additional discounts on subsequent webinars, and special pricing for in-person programs.

  • Full Membership Level - includes access to the Health Law Connections monthly magazine (digital and print); Journal of Health Life Sciences Law; substantive health law e-Newsletter subscriptions to the Newsstand on State Health Law Issues, Health Law Weekly, and Health Law Daily; one Practice Group with automatic enrollment in associated Affinity Group(s) as well as both Task Forces; and the AHLA Communities.

"The new membership model furthers our commitment to the health law community," comments Kerry Hoggard, Vice President of Membership. "We understand that our members have different educational needs and professional goals—our new membership model reflects this and is a direct response to the needs of our growing community."

"We represent the full spectrum of health law professionals," adds David S. Cade, Executive Vice President/Chief Executive Officer. "This model not only better supports our current membership but also allows for new members to find their professional home—if you have an interest in health law, you have a home at AHLA."
