The Future of Telemedicine and Women's Health: Innovation, Access, and Transactions
Delphine P. O’Rourke, Goodwin LLP
The accelerated adoption of telehealth by women for their own care and the care of consumers for whom they make medical decisions has fueled innovation, significantly increased access for women, including women of color and working women, and led to highest levels of M&A activity in the women's health & wellness industry that ever seen before. The presentation will discuss:

  • Current state of the telehealth legal landscape
  • The forecast for the industry
  • Critical laws and regulations to ensure access to care for women
  • Predictions regarding the legal landscape in both the short and long term

Field Museum Reception | 6:30-9:30 pm
Sponsored by AHLA’s Members’ Law Firms

Explore cultures present and past, find the latest scientific discoveries, and travel the world with AHLA in Chicago!

It will be especially fun for attendees and their families to gather on Monday evening at one of Chicago’s premier museums – the Field Museum. AHLA has exclusive access to the Field Museum and attendees will have the opportunity to enjoy the tremendous exhibits, including Inside Ancient Egypt, Regenstein Halls of the Pacific, Abbott Hall of Conservation: Restoring Earth, Africa, and the Grainger Hall of Gems.  You will also come face-to-face with the largest dinosaur that ever lived.

The titanosaur Patagotitan mayorum is a big deal—literally, the biggest dinosaur that scientists have discovered to date. This long-necked, plant-eating dinosaur lived over 100 million years ago in what is now Patagonia, Argentina.

Named Máximo, meaning “maximum” or “most” in Spanish, our titanosaur cast reaches 122 feet across Stanley Field Hall on our main floor and stands 28 feet tall at the head. Modeled from fossil bones excavated in Argentina, this cast conveys the sheer size of the biggest animal ever to live. (It’s longer than a blue whale!) Patagotitan weighed about 70 tons in life—that’s as much as 10 African elephants, like the two specimens on display next to Máximo.

Join AHLA and Máximo for an evening of reconnecting and discovery. There will be a buffet dinner, desserts and drinks included.

This event is included in the program registration; attendees, faculty, and registered adult, teen, and youth guests welcome. Bus transportation will be provided. Buses will begin shuttling at 6:00 pm.
