Traditionally, lawyers who were interested in an in-house role started their career at a law firm, gained a few years of experience, and then transitioned to an in-house position in an industry of interest, with no desire to ever return to law firm life. However, during the pandemic, there has been a growing trend of in-house attorneys choosing to leave their current positions and return to law firms.1
