First Circuit Allows Administration to Implement Medicaid Funding Restriction for Abortion Providers

The First Circuit agreed December 30, 2025 to stay pending appeal a preliminary injunction that blocked enforcement of a Medicaid funding restriction included in the One Big Beautiful Bill Act (OBBBA) that primarily applies to Planned Parenthood health centers in a lawsuit brought by 22 states and the District of Columbia.
