First Circuit Pauses Injunction of Medicaid Funding Restriction for Abortion Providers in 22 States

The First Circuit agreed December 9 to issue an administrative stay of a preliminary injunction issued several days earlier that blocked enforcement of a Medicaid funding restriction included in the One Big Beautiful Bill Act (OBBBA) that applies to Planned Parenthood health centers in a lawsuit brought by 22 states and the District of Columbia.
