Purpose
The Michael F. Anthony Health Law Scholarship Fund seeks to bolster opportunities for students enrolled in accredited U.S. law schools by supporting their engagement in health law education via resources provided or supported by AHLA.
Use of Funds
To ensure the sustainability of the fund and to honor Mike's vision for enduring support, the principal of the fund will remain untouched. Each year, no more than 50% of the annual growth will be distributed as awards to eligible students. These awards will support student education by offering a stipend to offset or defray the costs associated with attending AHLA's Fundamentals of Health Law program, including program registration fees, travel, lodging, and for other aligned purposes of the Scholarship Fund.
Eligibility
In determining eligibility of the scholarship, AHLA may consider factors such as academic merit, commitment to health law, and financial need. This approach ensures that the scholarship supports students who are not only academically talented but also genuinely dedicated to making a difference in the field of health law, mirroring the ethos and spirit of Michael F. Anthony's legacy.
