David J. Greenburg Service Award Winners

About the Award

David J. GreenburgDavid J. Greenburg (1925-2007) was the founder of both the American Academy of American Healthcare Attorneys in 1967 and the National Health Lawyers Association in 1971, the organizations that came together to form AHLA. David was interested in creating a specialty of health law, and he worked tirelessly to create a collegial community of professionals helping each other and the public, a tradition that AHLA continues today.

AHLA’s success today is due in large part to Mr. Greenburg’s creativity, entrepreneurship, and vision.

AHLA presents the David J. Greenburg Service Award annually to an individual who has shown great loyalty to the Association throughout his or her career, and who has made significant contributions to the growth and life of AHLA.
