Final Rule Includes $2.3 Billion Medicare Payment Bump for Hospitals in FY 2022

The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS) issued August 2 a final rule that increases Medicare payments to hospitals under the inpatient prospective payment system (IPPS) by roughly $2.3 billion in fiscal year (FY) 2022, according to a fact sheet.
